Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Corralejo Living (the "Platform", "we", "us") is an online marketplace operated from Fuerteventura, Spain, that connects independent hosts ("Hosts") offering stays, rentals, experiences, services and local deals with travellers and residents ("Guests"). The Platform is a technology intermediary. We are not the owner, operator, manager, agent, lessor, tour operator or insurer of any listing published by Hosts.
2. Nature of our service
By using the Platform you acknowledge that any contract for accommodation, rental, experience or service is concluded directly between the Guest and the Host. We facilitate discovery, communication, booking requests and (optionally) payment processing through Stripe — nothing more.
We make best-effort checks (claim verification, host onboarding, content moderation), but we do not guarantee:
- the identity, qualifications or trustworthiness of any Host or Guest;
- that a Host owns the property listed, holds the relevant touristic licence, or is legally entitled to rent it (including under Canary Islands "VV" regulations);
- the accuracy, completeness or up-to-date status of any listing description, photo or price;
- the quality, safety, conformity or legality of any accommodation, activity or service provided.
3. Host obligations
By publishing a listing, the Host represents and warrants that:
- they are legally entitled to offer the listing (ownership, authorised sublet, applicable touristic licence including the Canary Islands VV registration where required);
- they comply with all applicable local, regional and national laws — including tax, health and safety, insurance, hygiene and consumer protection regulations;
- the information published is truthful, accurate and not misleading;
- they will honour bookings confirmed through the Platform;
- they will not solicit Guests to transact outside the Platform once a booking request has been initiated, in order to evade Platform fees or protections.
The Host bears sole responsibility for the listing and any incident, damage, loss, injury, dispute or claim arising in connection with it.
4. Guest obligations
- Guests must provide accurate identity and contact details.
- Guests must respect house rules, local regulations and the property/service provided.
- Guests are responsible for their own travel insurance and personal safety.
- Guests must perform their own due diligence before transacting (read reviews, ask questions, verify dates and conditions).
5. Payments and fees
Where online payment is available, we use Stripe (and Stripe Connect) as our payment processor. The Platform charges:
- a host fee deducted from the host payout;
- a guest secure-booking fee added to the total at checkout.
Current fee rates are displayed at checkout and on the pricing page.
⚠️ Off-platform payments are not protected. Any payment made by cash, bank transfer or any channel outside Corralejo Living is at the Guest's sole risk. We cannot trace, refund, mediate or reimburse off-platform transactions. We strongly advise Guests to never pay outside the Platform, and to report any Host who asks them to do so.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Each listing displays its cancellation policy. Refunds are processed via Stripe according to that policy. The Platform does not provide rehousing, alternative accommodation or compensation if a Host cancels.
7. Fraud, scams and prohibited use
We actively work to prevent fraudulent listings, but cannot guarantee 100% prevention. The Platform must not be used to:
- publish fake, duplicated or unauthorised listings;
- impersonate another person or business;
- solicit off-platform payment with the intent to scam;
- publish illegal, harmful or discriminatory content;
- extract data or scrape the Platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account without notice in case of suspected fraud or violation of these terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform is limited to the amount of fees actually received by the Platform from you (as Host or Guest) for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim, capped at €500.
In no event shall the Platform be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, personal injury, property damage, theft, or any damage caused by a Host, a Guest or a third party.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
9. Reviews
Reviews reflect the personal opinions of Guests. We moderate obvious abuse but do not guarantee the accuracy of individual reviews. Hosts may dispute reviews through our built-in dispute process.
10. Intellectual property
All Platform content (design, code, brand) is owned by Corralejo Living. Hosts grant us a non-exclusive licence to display the content they upload (photos, descriptions) for the purpose of operating the Platform.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Las Palmas, Canary Islands, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules grant the Guest a different jurisdiction.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
